The Caribbean Mobility Fund is a program of the French Ministry of Culture (General Secretariat, Cultural Affairs

Directorates of Guadeloupe and Martinique, and the Directorate of Culture, Youth, and Sports of French Guiana),

operated by the Institut français.


Mobilities must have a connection to Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana.

This program supports mobility within the Caribbean region and towards the United States, Canada and

Brazil (There can be no incoming mobility to the French departments in America from the United States, Canada

or Brazil).


It is intended for cultural organizations and companies, as well as artists and cultural professionals from any

country of the :


• Association of Caribbean States (Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba,

Dominica, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama,

Dominican Republic, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent & The Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and

Tobago, Venezuela),

• French departments in America (Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guyana).



Institut Français provides financial support in the form of:

• a flat-rate travel allowance (transport costs, insurance and visa, if necessary) for artists and cultural

professionals of up to €2,200 per application per year (corresponding to one mobility project)

• project support for cultural organisations or companies, up to a maximum of €8,000 per application per year

(one application corresponding to one or more mobility projects for artists, up to €2,200 each).

Plane tickets and other forms of transport are paid for directly by the beneficiaries.



Each application must be submitted no later than six weeks before the start date of the mobility and

before November 15, 2023 as well as from February 1 to November 15, 2024 (no applications between

November 15 and February 1 - budget closing date).


Only one funding request per application per year. A new mobility can be considered one year after

the previous mobility (departure date). Therefore, it is possible to submit an application in 2024 for the

period between October 2024 and February 2025, if the one-year duration between the departure date of the

previous mobility 2023-2024 and the new mobility 2024-2025 is respected.



Application deadline : November 15, 2024

Applications will be processed in the order they are received, and a response will be provided as

soon as possible


Before submitting an application, candidates are requested to download the regulations of the program to verify

the conditions of mobility from their country of residence to their destination (visa, health restrictions, etc...).
