The Indian Ocean Mobility Fund is a program of the French Ministry of Culture (General Secretariat, Cultural Affairs Departments of La Réunion and Mayotte), operated by the Institut français.Mobility projects must necessarily be related to La Réunion or Mayotte.
This program supports the mobility of artists and cultural professionals from the Indian Ocean region, within the Indian Ocean area (Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, La Réunion and Mayotte) and to and from South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania and India.
Institut Français provides financial support in the form of:
• a travel allowance (transport costs, insurance and visa, if necessary) for artists and cultural professionals of up to €2,200 per application per year (corresponding to one mobility project),
• project support for cultural organisations or companies, up to a maximum of €8,000 per application per year (one application corresponding to one or more mobility projects for artists, up to €2,200 each).Plane tickets and other forms of transport are paid for directly by the beneficiaries.
Each application must be submitted no later than six weeks before the start date of the mobility and before November 15, 2023 as well as from February 1 to November 15, 2024 (no applications between November 15 and February 1 - budget closing date).
Application deadline : November 15, 2023
Applications will be processed in the order they are received, and a response will be provided 3 weeks following the application submission.
Before submitting an application, candidates are requested to download the regulations of the program to verify the conditions of mobility from their country of residence to their destination (visa, health restrictions, etc…).
